Monbiot on Saturday

By 2015, more than 375 million peple a year are likely to be affected by climate-related disasters. Climate change will be responsible for 500,000 deaths a year by 2030.

I didn't sleep last night again, despite having gone to yoga, and pushed myself into a sweaty, exhausted heap. Errggh.

Sorry about the depressing statistics above. But I read a thought-provoking article by George Monbiot today - click here to see it. This is not the reason why I didn't sleep, but during these hours I can't sleep, I start thinking about what people around the world are having to deal with. And this doesn't help. But what's the answer? People will still have to deal with these issues, whether I sleep or not. In fact, as Monbiot points out and as we all know, this is something for each and every one of us to face and act upon. Not soon, but now.
