Intuition

We move with eyes shut and ears stopped. We smash walls where doors are waiting to open to the touch, we grope for ladders, forgetting that we have wings...No wonder the angels in our midst are unrecognizable.

Henry Miller

You know that moment when you look at someone, and someone looks back at you, and you don't have to say a single word. But you know, you just know, that there is some connection there. What is this? One could argue it's simply physical - it's in the smile, in the eyes, in the face that you see something which you can relate to. But I don't think so. I think it runs deeper than this.

With this Reiki journey I'm on, I can feel that the hands of the Reiki master almost assume their own identity. With each session that takes place, intuition and understanding increase for both the healer and the receiver. Of course some people are naturally more intuitive than others, but it's something that deepens over time as well; something that is nurtured and developed. I hope with all my heart that as this journey continues and I lift myself out of this insomnia (and I will do this), I can recognise the signs around me with greater ease which will guide me. These signs can come in the form of people, of objects, of dreams or of words but I hope that as time passes I will respond more openly to them and recognize the angels that Henry Miller refers to.
