Emotional Freedom Technique

The whole foundation of the human community consists in the links between person and person, whether foreigner or member of one's own family, and these links are kindness, generosity, goodness and justice.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as Acupressure, is a needle free version of Acupuncture and is the latest notch in my journey towards sound sleep. It connects mind, body and energy via the body's energy system and my session yesterday with a lovely lady called Sumedha brought up some interesting issues I hadn't really ever thought about before. The reason I included the above quote is that it struck me that these people I am reaching out to - Priya for Reiki and Sumedha for EFT - are linked to me through the attributes mentioned. I know it is their job and of course I am paying them to help me. But this doesn't matter, the point is that the professional paths they have taken choose to help others to live at peace with themselves. And that is very noble.

Since I last wrote, I am very pleased to report that my sleep has greatly improved. In fact, the past 3 nights have been - and I can write this confidently - FINE. It has been a very long time since I've had 3 reasonable nights in a row and I feel mentally and physically so, so much better. Something else which may have helped, or may well help in the future, is that I have started keeping a daily notebook in which I jot down all thoughts or incidents related to sleep, including dreams. I write this at the end of the day before going to bed whilst listening to relaxing music and maybe some of this purging can be of great benefit to me.

(The photo by the way is of a very kind and interested Priest who I chatted to about a week ago. I put it in as it's of relevance to the quote).
